The SyFi Channel (shudder at the name) is adapting Terry Gilliam's 1995 film 12 Monkeys into a television series. I loved the original film, but I have a little trepidation about the writers who are involved -- Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett, who both wrote for Fox's defunct Terra Nova. Hopefully these guys will be able to do Gilliam's movie justice, but only time will tell! You can read about it here:
